Artistic Care and Nurture

Sometimes its good to run away from home....if only for a day. Yesterday I escaped to Milwaukee for a day by myself. I wandered the galleries of the Milwaukee Art Museum and admired the architectural wonders of Calatrava's design.  I also saw Tera Donavan's inventive show. Her use of material is stunning.

Having one whole day devoted only to my own curiosities both mentally and visually was a rare gift I intend to indulge in more often.

I packed a movable feast. Why did we stop wrapping sandwiches in wax paper?

Even the stairs up from the washrooms were interesting.

These wings can contract when Lake Michigan winds threaten the structure. The building literally looks like it is flying.

The building looks like it's going to levitate!

I highly recommend solo field trips.
I felt so recharged.
