Use Drawing to Really See the World
Here is an introduction to a powerful project involving sketchbooks from around the world:The Sketchbook Project. This is a time of year when so many people struggle with loss, challenges, health issues, financial issues while swimming through a cultural expectation of joyful anticipation. This week, I want to really look into the faces of people around me. Sometimes a small kind word or action can be very meaningful to someone who is struggling with life. Ask for help....give a smile....put money in someone's nearly expired meter....hold the door for someone....be kind to the cashier......and .......I want to use my drawing to really see the world.

Almost too painful to watch but heartbreakingly beautiful and brave. Wonderful of you to post it, Lindsay.
Have been remembering recently how lovely it was to receive a sketchbook in the mail from you so long ago now.
Robin! Thanks for stopping by. I too have wonderful memories of our sketchbooks traveling across the pond. I really miss the Flying Pictures Project. It was one of the most fun things we did on the web....and of course, I got to meet you. :)
