Sometimes, the Universe works in mysterious ways. My dear high school friend, Fran has a younger sister who did not attend our high school. (Must have been that STUDENT smoking lounge that changed her parent's mind.)Anyway, Fran's sister's husband did attend our high school and happened to discover a recently developed web page for alumni. He read a message on the board addressed to me by my friend Margee Minier. We have begun a 30 year game of catch up and we have discovered some interesting parallels: We both studied and worked in fashion design!

This is one example of the wearable are she creates with vintage fabrics and finding. I'm just crazy about this piece. (I can't wait for the 30 year retrospective we talked about, Margee.)
In the course of exchanging emails, I remembered that it was Margee who taught me to embroider. I also attended my first concert with her. We saw Genesis when Phil Colins played all his own drums and Peter Gabriel played guitar. Such great memories from the morass of those adolescent years.
