Funeral Parlor

This beautiful building caught my eye because it was different from all the other store fronts around it. The beautiful limestone facade and slate room really made it stand out. After drawing the front, I did some poking around in the back. It has 2 double wide doors that opened off that covered alley to the left.....It's an ex-funeral home! The doors furthest from the street were for morgue deliveries and the double doors closer to the front were for ....well, everything else. What interested me were the numbers of huge chimneys I could only see from the back of the building....hummmmmm. Wonder who owns this building now? It's a mystery.

The hazards of drawing on the fly is that occasionally I run out of time to finish. This drawing was done on the el platform and just as I had finished the line drawing of the foreground, the train arrived. You'll have to guess at the background. Possible something like Yosemite background??? (NOT)

Did you draw with water color or computer software? It looks like to me the former...quite charming...

Just ordinary watercolor! I don't know how to operate painting software! Probably should learn though
